I have come to the realization that I might be slightly upset if I don't get accepted into the Respiratory Care program at School1. I might cry. But it's okay, I do that easily sometimes.
Anyway, I've thought about also applying for the program at School2. I haven't heard anything bad about School2, and I really haven't heard anything at all. I haven't heard anything bad about School1, only good stuff, and they are my first choice.
I keep thinking I have a good chance at getting accepted into School1s program, and at the same time, I remind myself I'll be in for a nasty surprise when I don't get accepted if I start getting confident. By no means am I going to bet on being in school full-time in the Fall. I've learned in my 26 years not to get my hopes up, because once I do, that's when they all come crashing down. So, I'm taking a mellow and laid-back approach to my future. Kind of like what I say when they start freaking out at severe weather on TV: "I'll believe it when I see it."
I do know that if I start school in the Fall, life will be less cushy. Spouse and I eat out 2-3 times a week sometimes, especially when groceries are running low. He said, after I start school, we'll be lucky to go out just once. Which is kinda good because I need to stop eating that stuff, even if I splurge just once a week (which I have been doing A LOT more than once lately). I'll probably not buy any clothes or nice cleansers and things after I start school, too. I guess I won't really need new clothes anyway since I'll most likely be wearing scrubs ALL THE TIME. I hope, for at least a couple of my classes, I'll be able to wear my cute/cool stuff so I can EXPRESS myself; which is hard to do when you wear something that looks like pajamas every day.
Which makes me thing of something:
WHO THOUGHT "LOW RISE" SCRUBS WAS A GOOD IDEA? SERIOUSLY?!
I love the "flared-leg" most "low rise" scrubs have. But I'm assuming the "low rise" scrubs are meant for healthcare workers who don't do much physical activity. It may be because I'm "plus size" (if they make it, I'll wear it, so it's their fault), that "low rise" scrubs tend to ride south after a lot of walking/bending/running around like crazy. Blah.
That's all for now. Next time, I'll blog something "serious."
