No Worries

I read a lot of blogs every day. Since the filter has been down at work, I've got TONS of favorite, frequently-read blogs.

And all of them are what is sometimes referred to as "Medblogs." I read blogs of RTs, as I've mentioned before. But there are lots of GREAT blogs by nurses and some by Doctors that really intrigue me.

I notice a similarity in these blogs. A lot of the bloggers are pretty much fed-up with people and other things. They're not afraid to vent their frustrations about the healthcare system, job politics, and the sheer insanity and disrespect (among other adjectives) of patients who come into the hospital.

To anyone who just may happen upon one of these said blogs, they might think this person has been nursing/doctoring too long and needs to get out and do something less burdening. Too much exposure to the messes of patients and the oppression given by over-paid people in suits has really got this person down.

As an aspiring RT, I can safely say:
I'm Already There!

I'm already cynical and skeptical. I'm already tired of people being so stupid and people who can't think with their own brains if they have one. I've witnessed (and surely been exposed to but can't remember) injustices of "office" politics and administrations. I'm ready.

I know on the other side it could be worse, but I'm prepared! If it's the same or not as bad, great.

Despite all of my dislikes and pet-peeves, know that I still have a desire to help people. Whether they may deserve it or not. I guess I kinda still live in that fairy-tale world where someone comes out of an ordeal with a new outlook on life and take it as a sign of possible change.

Call me crazy.

2 Days 'Till My Birthday!.....

....BFD! Right?

Peace.
