Oh, I Get It Now!

Last night, I watched a bit of Dateline NBC where the story was about Global Warming and how this mountain/glacier had been constantly melting and therefore reducing the water supply for people who live around it.

This is something that's been going on for many years. One of the scientists told the reporter that the glacier had decreased 30 feet in size since 1980.

Okay, I get it now. We should be "Green" so we can slow down something that's inevitable? At least, that's how I understood it. So, being green won't stop global warming, right? Things are gonna melt and go downhill whether we try to use less plastic bags or not?

I really think that "being green" started out as a pretty legit thing until somebody made it "cool." Now it's not taken as seriously as it probably should be now that it's "hip."

I don't know. I try not to use a lot of water, I don't chunk trash out my window, and I don't drive my vehicle on the weekends. That's some of my effort.

Oh, I almost forgot. I wasn't paying the best attention, but a president from one of the countries affected by melting glaciers wants to sue/charge/fine the US for contributing to the problem. I don't know if they said "the US and other countries" because, if they didn't, that's ridiculous! Yeah, we are part of the problem, but not the ONLY part of it. Like we're the only country who drives cars.... Duh! Maybe it's just a scare tactic....

I'm not making any sense, I just had to blog about this and vent.
