Dear Program Director (or whatever),
I love your station. Since I've lived permanently in the DFW area, I listen to your station the most. Frankly, I'd say I listen to your station 90% of the time when I'm in contact with the radio.
Sadly though, recently, listening to the EDGE has become a nuissance.
First of all, can you cut back on the frequency of playing Nirvana songs from once per hour to maybe.... once per day?
I listen to 102.1 on the radio..
In the kitchen to make dinner.. Nirvana
Sewing.. Nirvana
Studying.. Nirvana
Driving to work.. Nirvana
Driving to school.. Nirvana
Going to the Post Office.. Nirvana
Going to lunch.. Nirvana
Driving home.. Nirvana
When I'm within 10 feet of an audio tranmitting device.. Nirvana
Kurt is dead. Courtney keeps getting richer. Nirvana isn't coming back. Please get over it. When Nirvana comes on, The Eagle or *gasp* The Wolf gets my business. Less Nirvana please!!
Secondly, I've heard that if I want my music a little more hardcore, I should try 97.1 The Eagle. So I have (see above), and they have a coveted spot on my car's preset line-up. And it's true. The Eagle never plays slow, depressing Evanessence songs that are 5 years old. They don't play slow Coldplay songs. They don't play Nirvana like they're still releasing albums. They play Metallica. YEAH! Remember them? Moral of the story, the EDGE's edge has gone a bit dull.
EDGEfest friggin' rocked, though. You had a great line-up (well, maybe except for Filter, they kinda sucked) and I got to see My Chemical Romance for the first time ever and it was so bloody awesome it's something I'll never forget.... That was cool. Nirvana wasn't there, that was even better.
I want so much to be totally in love with you, but the Nirvana is really wearing on me!! Your station plays A LOT of awesome songs, that's what keeps me tuned in.
But when you go soft, or play Nirvana, I tune out.
Please, EDGE, be awesome again!!
Thanks.
