I may have mentioned before that I had been working out and eating well this past year. Next month will mark my 1 year anniversary of beginning a "Lifestyle Change." I've lost about 25 pounds. It's a start. I notice I look better and feel a little better about myself. There are some outfits I look kinda hot in ;)
But since school has started and I have to devote the rest of the time to working (me going part-time is gonna SUCK for Spouse and I) and studying.. therefore, I haven't found the motivation to go to the gym.
I don't know how I stumbled across it, but I started looking at exercise videos. Through this study (that I did at work today, Labor Day) I found Turbo Jam and have been considering doing something like this; along with maybe "Slim In 6" and Billy Blank's Tae Bo stuff.
I think it would be a lot more fun. After a year at the gym, it's started to get kinda mundane. I've got the eating thing down pretty well (I watch what I eat most of the time, sometimes I am "bad") so I need to step up my game on the workouts. I think my body was getting used to going on the elliptical and doing weights all the time.
Plus, working out at home ROCKS because I don't have to DRIVE any more than I already do to go to the gym!
If I start this and really start to see results with these "home-workout" methods, I'll have to start another blog. By this time next year, I want to have taken off some SERIOUS weight.. a little more than just 25 pounds in 11 months.
We'll see!
And now.. time to study!
