Fell Off Of.. And Ran Over By.. The Wagon

I know this is supposed to be an RT student blog, but you gotta know, we also have lives outside of going to class, studying, dreaming about studying, and the like. Here is another installment of "Real Life."

Once upon a time ago, I lost 25 pounds by working out and eating good. Yes, I "cheated" here and there. But my metabolism was so stupendous, it got to where I could pretty much eat anything and not gain weight. It felt GREAT. I looked and felt so much better. I was proud of me and so was Spouse.

I started taking classes in the summer and started to not go to the gym.

Then RT school started and I quit exercising all together.

Then RT school got stressful and I eat crap every day.

The weight is creeping back on (only 3 pounds) and I'm starting to feel really lousy. This may sound crazy, but watching what I ate was so easy. Exercise was fun. I miss it.

I thought about getting up super early every day to work out before school. That hasn't happened yet. I can't find the motivation to get up and start the day on such a positive note. WHY????

I have some motivation now. I'm gaining weight back. That's something I didn't want to happen. Lots of things just don't end up like you planned.

I've got some workout DVDs. I need to become BFF with them. I'd love to see the weight just fall off of me again.

I have to think of that when I should be getting up at 0400-0430 to work out.

*sigh*

School is going pretty good. Hard to believe there's only a couple weeks left in the semester. We're all hoping we make it. We've all had lots of wakeup calls and lowered our own standards just to mentally cope with the stress of school.

But we're fighters and we support and help each other out. It's a nice thing.

I'm glad to hear that school is going well. I don't know about you, but I'm having a REALLY HARD time finding motivation to study nearing the end of the semester, which is not good since finals are coming up in no time.

Meh. 3 lbs gained? I'm sure you'll find the motivation to start working out again. Good luck.

It's always hard juggling school, relationship, (part time) work. There are heaps of people in the same situation so don't add stress to the juggle too! Make today the day you grab a workout video from behind the TV, dust it off and get started. Three times a week, half an hour. Don't worry about winning the war, just start fighting. The more you fight, the easier it gets. Good luck.
