Pondering

Watching the news has prompted me to start up 2 blogs in the last month. Given the choice between watching the local news every night or a fictional horror movie, I might be so inclined to choose the movie. We live WAY outside any city limits, but at the slightest bump in the night (possibly caused by one of the cats) I freak out.

I'm terrified of the future. We've got kids graduating high school that don't know how to read... Who have no critical thinking skills... Have little life skills... Have tried almost all the drugs in the spectrum... Party like rockstars and they're only 14...

Aside from all my hang-ups, I wonder.... Is the evening news brainwashing me and showing me a world that isn't that bad? Sometimes, I really hope so.
