Apparently, this guy is a internet celebrity - make that a glutton for internet flame punishment. Just Google the famous line below or the name "Brian Alvarez" and see what you come up with. People are nasty right back at him.
You've probably seen him on that Bowflex commercial that comes on a thousand times a day. He's the one that says:
"I gave all my FAT clothes to my FAT friends."
Yeah, thanks Brian. You've just showed the world that not only are you this fortunate guy who made his body better, you're also about to be inducted into the ASSHOLE HALL OF FAME.
And I bet you don't have many friends, especially not fat ones - at least anymore. But who needs you?
Here's the thing though, if you go to YouTube and watch the whole "commercial," you get a bit more info (some not included on the TV commercial):
1. Mr. Alvarez was in a head-on collision and got all messed up, which all got better with help from his new friend, Bowflex.
2. He says he was a size 38. Okay, 38 is not THAT fat. What size were his non-fat-friends? To me, 42+ is pushing the blatant "fat" thing.
3. Bowflex should have taken out that little "fat-friends" comment for this commercial, especially for TV. It was probably for shock-tactics, to get us talking. Yeah, we're talking about it, but we're not going to buy your piece of crap. We're too busy laughing at the blatant arrogance of your "Spokesman-ass." Did Bowflex feed him this line? Hmm....
God bless you, Mr. Alvarez, for overcoming a traumatic time and now enjoying your life with your family.
But turn down the crass.
I'm curious how things go when he's out in public?
