Sometimes I Wonder..

If someone is being tailgated, and the passenger (and also the driver, possibly) feels that their life is threatened, can the passenger lean out the window and shoot the offending driver once they all come to a stop?

Would someone blame them; as in, they really don't have a case to defend the offending driver?

If you were on the street leading to your house (in a residential area) and there is someone riding your tail almost all the way home, wouldn't you think it strange for someone to tailgate another person who lives in the same area and therefore possibly see where they live? I personally don't think that's a smart idea since we can never be too sure who's carrying a gun these days.

This happened to me the other day. I can't understand it. If I was 2 shades crazier, I would have jumped out of the truck and verbally assaulted the woman behind the wheel of that truck behind us.

I don't know what I should do:

1. Continue to make excuses like our society does. For example, "Oh, just lighten up. We can't change anyone. You're not letting them have rights if you restrict everything." Yeah, it's all fun and games until grandma snaps, pulls out grandpa's old shotgun and lets you have it.

2. Deal with it myself. I have a book about dealing with worry and anxiety. It's these 2 things that keep me from driving myself anywhere on the weekends and makes each time I get in the car to go anywhere as a passenger a difficult experience. I realize that I have this problem. I wish I didn't. But I also see things as an outsider, a mediator, an observer. I'm here to tell you that if we keep torturing each other on the roadways, people will start getting more and more angry, no matter which role your playing behind the wheel of your car. Draw your own obvious conclusions from this. It's already written in stone, how come there's a news story at least once a week where someone was shot on the highway and/or killed in a high-speed car wreck (notice the avoidance of the word "accident").

I must say, Driving Habits and how people raise (or fail to raise) their children are my top 2 issues to debate. No, I don't have kids. No, I will not have any. That's because I see how people raise their kids and how they act and I don't want them exposed to your child. And a thousand million other reasons. Again, I see the world as an outsider and observer. I don't need to have experienced everything first hand to have an opinion or input.

But the passenger firing on a dangerous driver is quite a case. I wonder if that's happened anywhere?
